Learning Goal Assessment

Learning goal assessment is used to determine the degree to which graduating students have mastered the material relevant to their degree program and to the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business general learning goals.

Undergraduate Programs

All Willumstad School of Business undergraduate students and University College students enrolled in a capstone Course (Business Policy & Strategy, BUS468) are required to participate in any assessment activities that are assigned as part of the course. This may include participating in an “Assessment Day”, which is generally held on a Friday afternoon. Students will be informed by email regarding their assessment day.  Students complete a standardized test on business skills and knowledge, as well as an assignment on one of the school’s general learning goals.

Graduate Programs

All graduate students enrolled in a capstone course are required to participate in any assessment activities that are assigned as part of the course. This may include participating in an “Assessment Evening” to be held on a Friday during the semester. For cohort programs, assessments may be offered remotely or one evening during class. Students will be notified about assessment at their Adelphi email address.
