Nancy Falls is Managing Partner in the Nashville practice of Tatum. As Managing Partner, Falls is responsible for all of the firm’s activities in Tennessee, Alabama, Arkansas and Mississippi and parts of Kentucky, including business development, practice development, client assignments and recruiting. As a member of Tatum Leadership, she assists colleagues in Tatum’s 37 markets with engagement resourcing, especially in the healthcare vertical.
During her career, Falls has had 25 years of diverse, primarily senior level, assignments in financial services, industry and academia and significant consulting and financing experience in healthcare. Falls has broad and deep corporate startup, restructuring and C-Level reorganization experience buit on a 15+ year career in banking, where she was involved in all aspects of financings for companies in manufacturing, services and healthcare around the globe.
Since being with Tatum, Falls has served clients in the financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, education and service sectors leading restructurings and transitions in the Office of the CFO and the COO. Previously, Falls was CFO of the academic enterprise at Vanderbilt University. There she was responsible for reengineering the budgeting and financial analysis processes, developing comprehensive and long range modeling, and establishing funding for a $100 million new strategic investment program and a $500 million capital project. Falls relocated to Nashville from the New York area to join a billion dollar multinational manufacturing concern, where she served as VP Investor Relations and head of risk management.
Subsequently, she served as Treasurer for a billion dollar multinational carbon products company where she refinanced $900 million of debt into a multi-currency, multi-bank facility and raised $100 million in an equity offering, both placed in Europe and North America. Prior to moving to Nashville, Falls spent 13 years at Fleet Bank (now Bank of America) and its predecessor banks. Assignments included SVP for Loan Syndications, SVP and Credit Approval Officer, and SVP and Division Manager, directing the activities of a lending division covering southwestern Connecticut and suburban NYC. Prior to that she was with Allied Bank International in New York City, where she was responsible for credit and marketing relationships in Europe.
Falls earned a Masters of Business Administration with distinction from Adelphi University and a Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude from Wellesley College.
