Five alumni have recently been elected to join the Adelphi University Board of Trustees.

Five alumni have been elected to the Adelphi University Board of Trustees.

The Robert B. Willumstad School of Business is proud to welcome Adelphi’s five new trustees, three of whom are graduates of the School of Business. Each has found great success in his or her respective field and will be a valuable addition to the board.

  • Katherine Quintana Malone, B.A. ’09, M.B.A. ’10, is a senior global compensation analyst at Latham & Watkins, which she joined after serving in various roles with OpenLink Financial. While a student at Adelphi, she received the President’s Student Leadership Award and was on the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business dean’s list before receiving her bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2009. She went on to earn her M.B.A. from Adelphi in 2010.
  • Dennis McDonagh, B.A. ’78, graduated from Adelphi in 1978 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He spent 15 years in public accounting before joining The Blackstone Group in 1995. He served in various roles at Blackstone, eventually becoming senior managing director and CFO.
  • Humera Qazi, B.B.A. ’93, M.B.A., is a managing director at KPMG, where she has served since 2003. Prior to this position, she was a consultant at Lopez Edwards Frank & Co. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Adelphi in 1993 and holds an M.B.A. in business computer information systems.

While not a graduate of the Willumstad School of Business, Kanishka Kelshikar, B.S. ’09, completed a minor in economics.

  • Kanishka Kelshikar, B.S. ’09, is an investment banking associate at Nomura, where he began working shortly after graduating from the Honors College in 2009 with a B.S. in Mathematics and a minor in economics. Working in the financial sector, Kelshikar is particularly interested in the emerging markets of Latin America.

The fifth new trustee, Leonard C. Achan, B.S. ’99, M.A., R.N., A.N.P., received his B.S. in Nursing from Adelphi in 1999 and went on to earn an M.A. in Advanced Practice Nursing. He is chief innovation officer at the Hospital for Special Surgery.
