Plan of Study
The accounting major earns the Bachelor of Business Administration by successfully completing 125 credits of prescribed course work, which is registered with and approved by the New York State Department of Education. After earning the B.B.A. in accounting, students are qualified to take all four parts of the New York State Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination.

A total of fifteen accounting credits only may be transferred from a two-year college. These credits must be from basic, intermediate, and cost accounting courses. No credit for other accounting courses can be accepted toward the degree requirements.

Please note: Be advised that the CPA requirements will change in 2004. Completion of a 150 credit program will be necessary to sit for the CPA exam in New York State beginning in 2009.
