Resources for Student Success

At Adelphi, we strive to support a successful learning experience for our students every step of the way. Discover and utilize a wealth of resources to help you succeed in your business courses.

Academic Resources

Talk to your Professors

If you are struggling in a course, contact the professor. You can email, stop by during office hours, or talk to the professor before or after class. Do not assume that a professor will know that you would like assistance if you don’t reach out to them.

Academic Advisement

Your academic adviser is a resource for you. Advisers can help you plan which courses to take, as well as discuss career options. You can also reach out to your adviser if you are struggling with your coursework.

Learning and Writing Centers

The Learning Center provides tutoring related to coursework and guidance on skills for academic success, such as time management and test-taking. The Writing Center provides face-to-face review sessions, as well as an online review of your work.

Math Tutoring

Tutoring is available through the Math and Computer Science Department.

Accounting Tutoring and Study Groups

Accounting tutoring is available through the business school by graduate students, with undergraduate degrees in accounting. Contact The Willumstad School of Business at 516.877.4600 or talk to your professors for more information.

For those enrolled in Accounting 101, study groups are also offered through the Learning and Writing Centers.
