With scientific discovery and technological innovation driving the economy, Adelphi has launched a five-year Accelerated Business of Science Program designed to give students with a passion for science a strong, marketable career path in science-related businesses.

Adelphi’s new accelerated (4+1) dual B.S./M.B.A. in Business of Science, which will be offered in the fall of 2019, will give students an interdisciplinary experience combining in-depth science education with the business fundamentals taught in graduate school. Undergraduate students can choose to pursue their bachelor of science in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, computer science, math or physics. After completing graduate equivalency courses as undergraduates, students will then proceed to a graduate school for a year of classes to earn their master’s degree.

“The Business of Science track is for anyone seeking a cutting-edge academic experience that is going to put them above their peers who are just graduating with a general science degree,” said Matthew J. Wright, Ph.D., associate professor and chair of the physics department and director of Adelphi’s Accelerated Business of Science Program. “These students will get insight into how they can take their products, scientific research developments, and medical practices and turn them into money-making ventures that are going to be good for the world.”

Students enrolled in the Accelerated Business of Science Program will be prepared for a career in biotech, medical administration, research, telecommunications and many more.
